Cchath pooja is one of them which is an hindu festival and only Vedic Festival dedicated to the Hindu Sun God, Surya and Chhathi Maiya. This festival is celebrated or we can say it is the way of thanking lord Surya for sustaining life on earth and to request the granting of certain wishes. According to the Hindu calendar, it is celebrated at the 6th day of the month of Kartika (month of the October or November). The rituals of the festival are rigorous and are observed over a period of four days. This year Cchat pooja is start from 27 October and will end at 30th October.
