Some basic measurements are taken of the head covering from both ends of the ears, till forehead including the nape of the neck. For making a foundation, the edge of wig is taken out from a fine mesh made of silk, cotton or nylon.
For adjusting some part in a wig, a very fine strip of a silk is cut and placed in appropriate location. The pieces are joined together according to the head size and direction by knotting them with a needle. It usually takes 40 hours to tie a whole wig.
After all the hair are attached together, they are mounted on a canvas to do a final knotting around the edges and the wig is pressed with heated irons for securing the wig. Finally whole wig is joined on to a soft block for giving it a style.
