With his complete dedication and confidence, Gandhi freed India from the British Rule and proved the world that freedom can be achieved with non-violence.

Gandhi jayanti is celebrated all over the country in both government and non-government organizations. All offices, schools, colleges and organizations remains closed on this special day to pay homage father of nation. Every year on 2nd October, the President of India and the Prime Minister, along with other political leaders, pay homage at Raj Ghat, the Samadhi of Mahatma Gandhi in New Delhi. People gather to observe Gandhi Jayanti in innovative ways that includes offering flowers on Gandhi’s pictures, statues and singing his favorite devotional song Raghupati Raghava Raja Ram. Prayers and Verses are read out from Holy books of all religions.
